I really liked the memory foam mattress when I was testing it out at the store, and had wanted a memory foam mattress for a long time. However, once I got it home I found that I overheat on it at night and sweat and get uncomfortable. I was so upset, because I really like the comfort and feel of the memory foam, but it holds too much heat. I decided to try this memory foam with gel and found that it stays much cooler through out the night, so I don't wake up all sweaty and hot. I should have just kept my old mattress and gotten this topper instead of spending the money on the memory foam mattress. This topper is thick enough and has a great memory foam feel, but it keeps me cool also.
