When the waterbed started to leak, I said never again. Then, as a temporary bed, I used an Aerobed for a couple of years, still fitting in my waterbed frame. Of course, that then started to leak air and was a disaster so I needed a real bed. I saw a memory foam mattress at a big box store, but it was for a king sized bed and I needed a Cal King. So I did lots of research and found this bed. I was a bit surprised by the price, I thought it was way too low. As a result I was a bit apprehensive about ordering the bed.
I tried out a Tempurpedic bed and loved it, but the price was well above what I could afford to spend. I also thought ordering a bed over the Internet was a bit risky, but being desperate I decided to do it. I am so glad I did!
My sister and I got the bed unrolled (didn't expect it to look like a giant carpet!) and put it in the bed frame. There was some smell, but not overpowering, really hardly... Read more

I previously had a California King spring mattress and it was starting to sag after about 6 years. I thought all the California King mattresses were of the same size and so did not measure this one for fit before purchase. When I got it home, I found out that it did not fit the old bed frame/box. It sticks out about 8 inches and is 3-4 inches thinner than a regular California King. The other complaint I have is that the pillow top kind of wrinkles at some of the points and that shows through the bed covers (which do not fit it properly any how because of the size difference).
But I would say it still meets our needs since I haven't had back ache ever since I purchased this mattress. Me and my wife sleep better and deeper. I would have given it a 5 star if it was not for those size and wrinkle issues. I am content with my purchase at the price that it was bought.

I had thoroughly researched and it had such good reviews that we told family and friends and several of them bought it too. At about the one year anniversary of our purchase I noticed my back was hurting every morning. I didn't want to mention to my husband, but then he mentioned how his back had been hurting. He travels alot and his back doesn't hurt on the hotel mattresses so he knew this was the culprit. We thought maybe it was just our mattress but soon the calls starting rolling in from family members asking if our backs were hurting too because they were experiencing severe back aches from their mattresses. We thought it was too good to be true that we could purchase an equivalent and have it be just as good. Truth is, if this is how the tempurpedic feels, NO THANKYOU!!
